Infrastructure as code that people can review
Manually configured infrastructure drifts, and nobody remembers why. We describe networks, clusters, databases, permissions and DNS in Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi or CloudFormation, split into small modules with remote state, locking and automated plans on pull requests, so infrastructure changes get the same peer review as application code. Drift detection compares live resources with the code on a schedule, so a console change made during an incident is noticed and either adopted or reverted.
Configuration of servers and images uses Ansible or Packer where virtual machines remain. Policy as code with OPA, Checkov or Sentinel blocks risky changes, such as public buckets or open security groups, before they are applied, which catches mistakes when they are still cheap to correct. Shared modules encode your standards, such as encryption, tagging and logging, so every new service starts compliant without anyone having to remember the checklist.
