What a strong TypeScript specialist actually knows
TypeScript pays off when types describe the business, not just the shapes of objects. A good developer models states so impossible combinations cannot compile, narrows unions properly and keeps any out of the codebase. They configure strict mode, path aliases and linting so the checker helps the team instead of nagging it.
They also know the limits. Types vanish at runtime, so API boundaries need validation with a library such as Zod, and generated clients keep front end and back end in sync. That discipline is what separates TypeScript used well from JavaScript with decoration.
