Picking the right Power Platform tool
Power Apps suits forms and workflow-heavy internal tools, Power Automate connects events and approvals across systems, Power BI handles analysis, and Copilot Studio supports conversational agents. Problems start when one tool is stretched into another's job, such as using flows as a data pipeline or canvas apps as a full line-of-business system. Licensing also shapes the answer, since premium connectors and Dataverse capacity change the cost picture.
We help you decide which problems belong in low-code and which deserve conventional engineering. Rules of thumb include user count, data volume, offline needs, performance expectations and who will maintain the solution after the original builder moves on. We document these decisions in a short architecture note so later makers understand why a flow lives in one environment and a dashboard in another. When the fit is poor, we say so and propose conventional development alongside the low-code estate, with clear boundaries between the two.
