Python Development Services

Python development services for web back ends, data pipelines, automation and AI-powered products. We cover what we build with Django, FastAPI and Flask, how we connect application code to machine-learning and LLM components, and how to decide whether Python is the right foundation for your product or only for part of it.

What Python is used for in our projects

Python is the common ground between application engineering and data work. On the web side we build Django and Django REST Framework back ends, FastAPI services with async endpoints, and internal tools with admin-heavy interfaces. On the data side we build ETL jobs with Airflow or Prefect, reporting back ends, scraping and integration scripts, and model-serving APIs. One language across both reduces hand-offs between application and data teams and keeps ownership clear.

AI-first products are the other large category. Retrieval-augmented generation services, document extraction, recommendation endpoints, agent back ends orchestrated with LangChain or LlamaIndex, and classical scikit-learn or PyTorch models are all most easily wrapped in Python. We keep model code separate from the web layer, so a model change does not force a redeploy of the whole product and can be rolled back on its own.

Django, FastAPI or Flask

Django is the pick when you want batteries included: an ORM, migrations, authentication, an admin site and a mature security record. It gets a business application running quickly and keeps conventions consistent across a team. FastAPI fits API-first services, uses type hints for validation, generates OpenAPI documentation automatically and handles concurrent I/O well. Flask suits small services where you want to choose each component yourself, though that freedom needs discipline as the project grows.

Performance questions deserve honesty. Python is rarely the bottleneck for typical web workloads, because the database and network dominate, but CPU-bound loops are slow and the global interpreter lock limits threaded parallelism. We handle that with Celery or RQ workers, multiprocessing, NumPy or Polars for vectorised work, or a small component in Rust or Go. Type checking with mypy or pyright and Ruff for linting keep large codebases readable.

When to choose Python for a product

Pick Python when the roadmap includes analytics, machine learning or LLM features, when speed of iteration matters more than raw throughput, or when your team already thinks in data. Its library ecosystem for numerics, document parsing, geospatial work and automation is hard to match. For a startup validating an idea, a Django or FastAPI back end can reach a testable product quickly and still scale later with caching, replicas and queues.

Be cautious for latency-critical engines such as trading matching cores, for native mobile apps, or for very large teams that need strict compile-time guarantees. Dependency and environment management also needs care: we use Poetry or uv, pinned lockfiles and containers so the build you test is the build you ship. AI coding tools help with tests, type annotations and refactors, always behind code review.

What we do

What our Python Development Services team delivers

Specific work we do for clients, with the senior people who do it.

  • Django application development

Full web products with admin tooling, role-based access, background jobs and a tested data model, designed to be extended by your team later.

  • FastAPI microservices

Typed, documented APIs with async database access, authentication and contract tests, suited to mobile back ends and internal platform services.

  • Data pipelines and ETL

Scheduled and event-driven pipelines on Airflow or Prefect, with data-quality checks, retries and clear lineage from source to report.

  • ML model serving

Packaging trained models behind versioned APIs with monitoring, batch scoring jobs and safe rollout, so data science work reaches real users.

  • LLM and RAG back ends

Retrieval, prompt management, evaluation and guardrails around language models, built as testable services rather than notebook code with documentation your own engineers can extend later.

  • Automation and integrations

Scripts and services that connect systems, process documents and replace manual spreadsheets, with logging and alerting that operations can trust.

Outcomes

What you can expect

Every engagement is tied to measurable business results, not just deliverables.

01

Faster path to data features

Application and analytics code share a language, so reports, models and user-facing features reach production with fewer translation steps.

02

Maintainable codebases

Type hints, linting and tests keep Python projects readable as teams and requirements grow across the life of the product, not just launch day.

03

Production-ready AI components

Models and LLM calls sit behind monitored, versioned services instead of fragile one-off scripts across the life of the product, not just launch day.

FAQ

Python Development Services FAQs

Straight answers on cost, timelines, IP ownership, team setup and how we work. Cannot find yours? Ask a solutions architect directly.

Is Python fast enough for a production web application?

For most web workloads, yes, because database and network time dominate. Caching, async I/O, queues and horizontal scaling cover the common cases. For CPU-bound hot spots we use compiled libraries such as NumPy or move that piece to Rust or Go.

Django or FastAPI for a new project?

Choose Django for full applications with admin screens, authentication and relational data. Choose FastAPI for API-first services, machine-learning endpoints and async-heavy workloads. Some products use both, with Django for the core app and FastAPI for specialized services.

Can you add AI features to an existing Python application?

Yes. We usually add them as a separate module or service with its own tests, evaluation set and monitoring, then connect it through a clear interface. That limits risk to the existing product and lets you change models or providers later.

How do you manage Python dependencies and deployments?

We pin versions with a lockfile using Poetry or uv, build reproducible Docker images, run the same checks in CI as locally, and scan for known vulnerabilities. Environments differ only through configuration, which removes the classic works-on-my-machine problem.
