Themes and the block editor
Modern WordPress is built around the block editor and Full Site Editing. We create block themes with theme.json, reusable patterns and custom blocks so editors assemble pages from approved components instead of fighting a page builder. This keeps design consistent, pages light and developers out of routine content changes. Locked patterns keep layouts consistent, while flexible ones leave room for campaign pages.
Classic PHP themes still make sense for existing sites and unusual templates. We pick the approach by editor workflow and migration cost, and we write accessible markup from the start, because retrofitting accessibility into a finished design costs more. Editors are involved early. We run short sessions with the people who publish daily, test sample pages and adjust the block library until common tasks take few steps. Fewer, better blocks usually beat dozens of options that confuse everyone and bloat the page.
