About hiring Angular engineers
Everything to know before you hire Angular talent
Hire Angular developers when your front end is large, long-lived and shared by several teams. Speqto engineers work with TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx and modern Angular, and handle both new builds and version migrations, for enterprises and product companies that want predictable structure over improvised conventions.
Angular is an opinionated framework: dependency injection, routing, forms, HTTP and testing are all built in. For teams of ten or more developers this consistency is the point, because everyone writes features in the same shape and new hires find their way around quickly. It also means upgrades are planned events, because the framework ships a major version regularly and the team needs a habit of staying current.
Recent releases added standalone components, signals and improved server rendering, which reduce boilerplate and make change detection easier to reason about. Developers who learned Angular years ago need to adopt these patterns, so we check that candidates write current Angular and not only module-heavy older style. Standalone components and signals now let teams drop much of the module boilerplate, so we look for developers who can adopt them gradually in codebases that still contain older patterns.
What we assess
We probe TypeScript strength, then change detection, OnPush strategy, signals and the lifecycle. RxJS gets particular attention, since most Angular bugs hide in subscriptions: flattening operators, unsubscribing, error handling and when a plain signal is simpler than a stream. Reading a stack trace from a production error and tracing it through services, interceptors and templates is a practical skill we check, because it decides how fast incidents get resolved.
We then check architecture: feature-based folder structure, lazy-loaded routes, NgRx or signal stores where state is shared, typed reactive forms and accessibility. Candidates show testing skill with Jasmine, Jest or Cypress, and explain how they would split a monolithic app into libraries with Nx. Accessibility and internationalisation come up as well, since large enterprise interfaces usually serve many users, languages and assistive technologies that smaller prototypes never meet.
Working model
Share your Angular version, team size and goals, and we send profiles within about two business days. Developers join your repository and pipeline, attend design and planning sessions, and demo working software weekly. The first weeks are spent on setup, a review of module and state structure and a small production change, so velocity and quality are visible early. Weekly check-ins cover scope, risks and priorities.
You can add one engineer, or build a front-end squad with QA and a lead. Scaling needs 30 days notice. We sign NDAs on request and assign all IP to you. Engineers use AI assistants for repetitive code and tests, and every change still passes human review before it merges. Where several teams share a codebase, we also help agree branching rules and review checklists so contributions stay consistent.
Why teams hire from Speqto
A bench, not a single freelancer
If an engineer is unavailable or the fit is wrong, a replacement comes from the same bench, with knowledge handed over.
Dashboards, admin consoles and customer portals with role-based access, complex tables and forms, and clear module boundaries across teams.
Version upgrades
Moving AngularJS or old Angular releases to the current version step by step, with automated schematics, tests and a rollback path.
RxJS and state management
Predictable data flow with RxJS, NgRx or signal stores, including caching, optimistic updates and tidy subscription handling. We document why each stream exists.
Micro front ends and Nx
Splitting large applications into libraries or module-federated pieces so teams can build and release independently. Shared libraries have clear ownership rules.
Testing and CI
Unit tests, component tests and Cypress or Playwright journeys running in your pipeline to catch regressions before release.
Design system implementation
Angular component libraries built on Angular Material or custom tokens, documented and accessible, shared across product lines. Usage guidelines ship with every component.

How to hire
Hire Angular talent in four steps
A short, low-risk path from your brief to a working engineer. If the first engineer is not right, we replace them.
1
Share your brief
Tell us the role, stack, hours overlap and how long you need the engineer. A 20-minute call is usually enough.
2
Get vetted profiles
In about two business days you receive candidates with assessment notes, code samples and availability.
3
Interview and trial
Speak to the engineers yourself. Start with a short paid trial and continue only if the fit is right.
4
Onboard and ship
Your engineer joins stand-ups and repositories, demos weekly and is backed by a delivery lead.
Included
Every engineer comes with
No hidden extras: the basics of a safe, managed engagement are part of the package.

Is Angular better than React for enterprise projects?
Neither is universally better. Angular gives a complete, opinionated framework that suits big teams and long-lived apps. React offers more freedom and a larger ecosystem of choices. We recommend based on your team skills, hiring plans and existing codebase.
Can you migrate our AngularJS application?
Yes. The usual route is incremental: run both frameworks side by side with a hybrid setup, migrate feature by feature, and retire AngularJS once the last route is moved. A full rewrite is rarely the safer option.
How do you handle RxJS complexity?
By keeping streams simple, preferring signals where they are enough, using the async pipe, applying the right flattening operator and testing with marble tests where timing matters. Developers also document why a stream exists, which helps maintenance.
Do your Angular developers write tests?
Yes, we expect it. Component and service tests run in CI, with end-to-end journeys for critical flows such as login and checkout. Coverage targets are agreed with you instead of chasing a number. We agree thresholds with you based on risk.
