What the discovery phase settles
Discovery turns an enthusiasm into a testable plan. We interview users, look at sample data, map the surrounding process and write down what a good answer is, who checks it and what an error costs. We also list constraints early: privacy rules, systems to connect, latency needs and who must approve. Stakeholders sign the criteria off, which means the final result is judged against terms everyone accepted.
The output is a one-page hypothesis and success criteria, for example extraction accuracy on a defined set of fields, or the share of tickets resolved without edits. Agreeing numbers before building prevents the common problem of a demo that impresses everyone but cannot be judged. We keep infrastructure minimal and avoid features unrelated to the question, such as logins or polished screens.
