The challenge

Where factory data gets stuck

Manufacturing software development links machines, people and planning systems so factories waste less time and material. Speqto builds industrial IoT platforms, MES and shop-floor apps, predictive maintenance and vision inspection for manufacturers and industrial suppliers that need data from the line to reach engineers and planners in a form they can act on.

A typical plant mixes new and old equipment: PLCs from several vendors, legacy SCADA, standalone machines and paper travellers. Data exists but sits in silos, in different protocols and without shared definitions, so reports are assembled by hand and arrive too late to prevent downtime or scrap. Walking the line with operators before writing any code is the cheapest way to find out what the data truly means.

Operators and supervisors want fewer screens, not more. Software that demands extra typing during a shift is ignored, so design starts from the floor: what must be captured, by whom, in how many taps, and what feedback they receive straight away for doing it. A quick integration with existing tablets or terminals, and automatic capture wherever sensors allow, protects the time operators have for production.

Our approach

How we deliver for Manufacturing teams

Specific working methods, not generic promises.

How IIoT and AI create value

The foundation is reliable data capture. Edge gateways read OPC UA, Modbus or MQTT signals, buffer them locally and send clean, time-stamped streams to a historian or cloud platform. Only then can analytics work. Getting units, tags and machine states consistent is unglamorous but decides whether models succeed. A common asset model across lines then makes it possible to compare plants fairly and share lessons without translating every report.

Predictive maintenance learns normal vibration, temperature and current patterns and flags drift before failure, though it only pays off for assets whose downtime is expensive and whose failures leave a signal. Computer vision inspects surfaces and assemblies at line speed, and OEE dashboards show where availability, performance and quality losses actually occur. We also set expectations on false alarms up front, because a maintenance team that stops trusting alerts will stop opening them altogether.

What we build

Solutions for Manufacturing

Industrial IoT platforms

Edge gateways, device management, data pipelines and dashboards that bring machine signals together across lines, plants and countries.

Predictive maintenance

Condition monitoring models and alert workflows that connect sensor drift to maintenance work orders and spare-parts planning for critical assets.

MES and shop-floor apps

Work order execution, operator terminals, traceability, downtime capture and quality checks tailored to your production process with minimal operator typing.

Vision quality inspection

Camera-based defect detection and measurement at line speed, with review tools that let engineers retrain models on new faults.

OEE and production analytics

Live and historical views of availability, performance and quality losses, with drill-down by machine, shift, product and reason.

Digital twins and planning

Simulation and scheduling tools that model capacity, changeovers and constraints so planners can test decisions before changing the real line.

Standards

Outcomes

What changes for your business

Less unplanned downtime

Earlier warnings and faster root-cause analysis help maintenance teams act before a small fault stops a whole line.

Fewer defects reaching customers

Automated inspection and traceability catch problems sooner and make containment faster when a batch must be investigated.

One version of production truth

Shared definitions and live data replace hand-built reports, so plant, planning and finance discuss the same numbers.

FAQ

Manufacturing Software Development FAQs

Straight answers on cost, timelines, IP ownership, team setup and how we work. Cannot find yours? Ask a solutions architect directly.

How do you connect old machines to an IIoT platform?

We add edge gateways that read PLC registers, serial protocols or retrofitted sensors, then translate signals to OPC UA or MQTT. Older machines often need extra sensors, and we assess each asset for what is realistically measurable.

Is predictive maintenance worth it for every machine?

No. It suits assets with costly downtime and failure modes that show up in sensor data. For others, simple condition rules or scheduled maintenance is cheaper. We start with a data review before recommending any modeling effort.

Can you integrate MES with our ERP such as SAP?

Yes. Work orders, material consumption, batches and quality results are exchanged through APIs, middleware or files, depending on the ERP. We agree master data ownership first, because mismatched item codes cause most integration problems, which we confirm in a short workshop.

How do you handle security on the shop floor?

We separate control and corporate networks, use outbound-only connections from edge devices, apply least-privilege access and log changes. We align with IEC 62443 principles and your own plant policies, and avoid any machine write-back without sign-off.
